After using it, it should be squeezed, hung or placed in a ventilated place. It is possible that when it gets dry it becomes hard and shrinks, but once it is moistened it will have its shape, smoothness and size again. It should not be twisted to squeeze.
Some tips to take care of your sponge:
1. Keep your Konjac dry (basic care): Remove excess water after using it. Hang your Konjac in a ventilated place to dry. Do not leave your sponge somewhere wet or damp.
2. Keep your Konjac in the refrigerator (alternative care): If you live somewhere very humid, or do not have where to hang your Konjac in a dry place, it is recommended to use this way to take care of your fiber. After using your sponge, squeeze it gently and store it in a sealed container or ziplock bag.
3. Immerse Konjac in hot water: To disinfect your fiber, you can immerse it in hot (not boiling) water for 2 to 3 minutes. Do not use boiling water since it will deform your Konjac because it is a vegetable vibration. Then, drain the water and let your Konjac cool before touching it or removing the excess water. To finish, hang your sponge in a ventilated place to dry. You can use this method once a month, or as required.
With proper care, your Konjac will last approximately 2 months. When your sponge starts to disintegrate, replace it to get better results.
